Yamaha SV-250 Silent Violin Pro

Yamaha SV-250 Silent Violin Pro Reviews

Other Picture

The Yamaha SV-250 Silent Violin Pro is extremely lightweight, due to the removal of the electronics to a separate preamp that can be mounted on a pedal board or worn on a belt clip. The sturdy, profession preamp has bass, treble and volume controls, as well as XLR and 1/4" unbalanced outputs, and you even can run it on phantom power instead of batteries. The Silent Violin Pro utilizes both the body pickup common to the SV-200 and Yamaha's dual-piezo VPN-1 transducer bridge. A blend control on the back of the instrument lets you select how much of your output signal comes from each pickup. The SV-250's excellent tone and light weight make it feel like "home" to classically-trained players. It holds any standard shoulder rest firmly, and the outboard preamp is of excellent build quality.
